Buttons! And a few questions.
We've got buttons for you, in 6 lovely colors to coordinate (or not) with your blog: raspberry, moorit, chartreuse, lake, plum, and brick. Use one or use them all! Remember to save the button to your own site; no hotlinking please. Use the code below:

The KAL's starting this Friday; we'd love to get a feel of what everyone's doing through their blogs. (If you don't have a blog, you can leave your answers in the comments here.) Who's doing Fair Isle? Traditional Norwegian or Swedish (Bohus Stickning)? Who's working on their nth project? Here are a couple of simple questions to get you in the mood for colorwork.
What are your projects for this knitalong?
Is this your first colorwork project? If it isn't, what was your first, and has it survived the test of time?

I answered! I answered!
ReplyDeleteOoh, ooh! Me too, me too!
ReplyDeleteMy answers will be up shortly. I need to take a photo of my yarn first.
ReplyDeleteI answered.
ReplyDeleteGuess I ovedid it!
ReplyDeletei posted answers, too! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the buttons, but for some reason, they are loading as empty files when I download them. Help! I have done this a million times and have never had this happen.
ReplyDeleteI have decided and ordered yarn and once I did I saw that one of the two items has been done last year and nearly the same colorway I choose. Great minds..
ReplyDeleteOops I thought I could put the pic in but I was wrong Both are Bea Ellis designs, one is the skier hat and the other is Ufserud. If I can figure out how to post pics I will

ReplyDeleteThat is my flicker link
I'm up and running! (Rebecca, I had to add .jpg to end of my file name when I uploaded a button. For some reason it didn't copy to start with.)
ReplyDeleteI posted last night on this blog post.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what category I'll be in for either of my planned projects (I'm not sure that argyle counts as stranded knitting) but I'm having fun anyway!
So excited to get stranding! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's chosen projects...getting inspired...drooling.
ReplyDeleteI answered the questions over at my blog.
I answered the questions also.
ReplyDeleteI answered the questions on my blog. I look forward to reading everybody else's on Monday when I'll have time to browse the blog world. :)
ReplyDeleteI am working on my nnnnth color project and it will probably be some more Norwegian mittens or gloves from the Selbustrikk book. DH has requested a pair of gloves from the book.
ReplyDeleteI put photos of some of my early color knitting projects on the blog. I hope even more knitters sign up for this knitalong!
I sort of posted about it on my blog but I forgot to answer the second question. However, if you read the post right below the one about the knitalong, the answer is there. :)
ReplyDeleteMy blog isn't just knitting, it has other stuff too. For example today there is a political post right above the knitting stuff. If you don't want to read that, just scroll by it and you will find knitting posts. :)
I've answered the questions in my most recent post. May last three posts all concern colorwork.
ReplyDeleteMy post for Dec. 4 has answers to the questions, though kind of garbled up in a soul-cleansing essay on my love for stranded knitting.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for putting this together!
Whoops, I don't know if the link to by blog went through--But I'm on the participant list (as Valerie).
ReplyDeleteSomeday I'll learn how to put in links the right way.
Hi, thanks for adding me to the list. One question though: are only the hosts going to post in the blog or did I loose your invite in the spam filter? Either way is fine, I am just wondering.
ReplyDeleteKucki
I am making some fingerless mitts for this KAL. I'm using up stash wool from previous fair isle projects and using a design from the Latvian Mittens book. I think the colors will be light grey, dark purple heather and a periwinkle. I've done a few f.i. projects (mittens, cardigan, vests, pullover), but the magic never gets old!
